The preferred American reality show Jersey Shore on MTV follows the happenings in the lives of 8 of its heros. The 8 individuals spend a summer together.

The first period was shot at the New Jersey shore, and the second was at Miami shore. Amidst the controversy that brewed from the beginning of the tv program, it emerged successful and today will soon step into its 3rd period.

The show and the channel were condemned for its liberal use of ethnic slurs like 'Guido/Guidette'. The tv program likewise enjoyed constant use of language unacceptable for household watch, and represented alcoholism, sex and bad conduct and distasteful club scenes as the trend of the young people. Some people think that the cast members are among the sexiest, most tan and sexually uninhibited youths in New Jersey.

Chris Christie, the guv of New Jersey felt it was needed to clear the air that the show was depicting of the young people and the methods of New Jersey. He said that the casts of the tv program were a group of children, many of who did not belong to New Jersey, however were form New York.

He welcomed people to New Jersey to experience the real, rather than being prejudiced by enjoying the tv program.

The appeal of the program never descended in spite of so many controversies. The first period saw the exit of one of the girls Angelina 'Jolie' Pivarnick after the first episode.

She returned back for the 2nd season. She will not be returning for the 3rd period. MTV has hired on a new version to the tv program for the 3rd period.

Deena Nicole Cortese who is a longtime pal of Polizzi. She auditioned for the first period but was declined.
