Critics and moviegoers alike have raved about the movies based on J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter book series. The thrill of seeing the characters on the big screen has drawn huge fan audiences to see each of the 6 films that have already come out. On November 19, 2010, fans will get to see the first part of the final story unfold; they will have to wait until July 15, 2011 for the second part to come to theaters and finish the epic tale. The Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows movie is being released by Warner Brothers studio in a normal 2D format as well as in 3D.

Harry, Ron, and Hermoine join forces one last time in the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows movie to fight Voldermort. But Harry Potter is being hunted by Voldemort and his supporters, the Death Eaters, so he is constantly in danger. Harry's survival depends on finding Voldemort's secret to immortality, the Horcruxes. In the process, he learns about the legend of the Deathly Hallows and the final adventure begins to take shape.

The decision to split up the story of the last Harry Potter book into two separate films was not easy for the studio, but they decided it was the best way to handle the project. The producers wanted to keep true to the author's original story, but the length of the book makes that nearly impossible in just one film. Also, because this story concludes a seven part epic tale, the characters all deserve to be developed and parted with in a full and detailed way.

Pre production teams for the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows movie got their start on January 26, 2009. Filming was done in the same studio as all the earlier films, Leavesden Studios, and the first shots were made on February 19, 2009. Hand held cameras were used throughout the production by David Yates, the director.

All the scenes filmed outside the studios were done on the streets of London, in Freshwater West, and in Swinley Forest. Filming was completed on June 12, 2010; crew members actually cried on that final day, as it marked the end of 10 years working on the Harry Potter films.
