Canvas prints are favored these days by many folks as a reasonable and novel way to decorate their walls. They have become very popular as they offer usefulness, versatility, and an individual way to embellish, as many folks will print their photos on canvas. Since they come in many sizes, cost doesn't become an issue. Most people want their canvas print to last for a very long time, and doubtless pass it on as a heirloom, especially in the case of a family portrait or special memory which has been immortalized on a canvas print. it is critical to care and clean your canvas prints suitably to plug their longevity - they can last you over 100 years if correctly maintained. Follow these straightforward recommendations to look after your canvas prints; they're going to last you much longer.

Naturally, you will want to hang your canvas print. Use correct hardware to support its size and hang away from sunlight exposure. The sun rays will cause the colour to vanish, and in several cases yellow your canvas. In addition, hang in some place that's away from moisture - moisture causes mould. It is best if you hang it away from tiny ones and pets, that might be curious and play with it, scratch it, or write on it. Before hanging, observe your walls throughout the day to see the pattern in which light moves around your place; this is going to help you choose the right spot for it.

Canvas is an organic material and thus will go to pot if not cared for properly or placed in the right spot. Changes in temperature will expand and contract the fabric and wood in a stretched canvas, so it should be placed away from hot areas like vents, stove, drafty door ... In a stretched canvas the wood may bend, and the canvas may not be fitted correctly to it, causing creasing, or wrinkling. Find a place where the temperature is more even.

A canvas print must be dusted employing a soft duster such as a feather duster, and it shouldn't be rubbed. You shouldn't put water or cleaners on it, or any kind of solvent solutions. Avoid leaving without dusting for lengthy periods as dust will settle and will form a film that can affect the color. Regular delicate dusting works best.

When cleaning around the home avoid spraying around it or in the air around it as the mist will travel and lodge itself on the canvas - for instance, air sprays in aerosol are heavy occasionally and you can see the mist traveling through the air or settling on the floor. Spray away from the canvas print.

Observe your canvas and see whether you see any signs that the wood that is stretching it has any insect damage or has weakened and your print appears loose. Take it to a pro so it can be stretched again and change the wood as needed.

If in need of storing your canvas prints, do it in a room that isn't too cold, and wrapped them in soft fabric so they don't seem to be scratched.

These few simple tips may help you keep your canvas prints looking great for years to come.
