While I haven't exposed it deliberately to any of these yet...I'll update once it's been initiated. I bought this camera for my daughter to take on her vacation. I have a 14GB-Class-10 memory card installed. Class-10 is the fastest card there is.

I really want to like this camera and might buy another one after were refunded. It takes nice pictures and does great video but I fear it's not really reliable. I'll be posting some pictures that I took with this camera, so that you can see the quality yourself. Back in 2006 I started carrying one of the original Olympus Tough 7 MP cameras with me in Iraq. I'm waiting for a reply on this. To their credit, Olympus tech support is prompt, once you get past the phone tree. The general close-up mode will use a flash, and I've found it works fine to leave it on when taking regular pictures as well. The super close-up does not allow you to use a flash, but it can take closer pictures.

The pictures I have taken both indoors and outdoors are clear not grainy and the HD video is awesome. This camera even has sound when previewing your vids from camera, which I love since my Kodak didn't. I highly recommend buying the extended warranty if you get this camera. This camera has many positive attributes that should make it attractive to the casual photographer or videographer (or even to serious hobbyists who might themselves unable to schlep full size gear). A default setting should allow fully auto picture taking with no restrictions on a simple thing like zooming, regardless of the mode you are in. I also HATED where they put the lens.

The picture is pretty good (see other more technical reviews for picture quality). It's not like even a low end DSLR, but for its use its likely good enough. The screen would work, show menus but the camera itself wouldn't show anything on the screen with the lens was open. It was very odd, we waited a few minutes and tried again and it worked fine.

The camera leaked.

It does not seem to judge light conditions very well, often telling me that the camera was shaking in daylight conditions. I also found it cumbersome to sift through the "scene" features on this camera. I am currently shopping to replace that camera for upcoming cruise and would not take a chance on the same brand. This little camera was bought as a replacement to our old waterproof camera that we left at the top of a mountain (Olympus Stylus 850 SW).

Consider that it is a point and shoot. I don't think that you can get much better for under $300.
