Have mercy on the environment and do not horde fake ones because eventually, the environment will become sick of you and just stop producing these natural resources that we need.

The main function of fur is to provide heat against the very harsh cold weather. Unlike true animal skin, the fakes ones provide less heat because it is not made of real skin. Think of the situations of wolves and bears. They would not survive in the poles if they had fake or no skin at all.

Lastly, fake pelt may not be as comforting as you find it to be. If you compare it beside real genuine pelt, there will always be a marked difference between them. Real animal skin is a lot smoother, with a cotton like feel meanwhile the faux one is rougher.
