Human beings enjoy reading adventurous stories that will stimulate their minds in every way possible. There is a book called "Logan's Run" and it is one of the best science fiction books on the market. This is one novel that takes the time to educate the reader about human beings and their evil habits. People learn all about promiscuity, poverty, law enforcement and old age while reading this particular writing. Many readers also learn that everyone living within this society are in serious danger.

In "Logan's Run" a person has to die once they have reached thirty years old. They all wear a symbol upon their body and when it turns a certain color their life is in jeopardy. These unfortunate people are then rounded up and taken into the sports arena. This is the place that they will encounter their final destiny.

All of these thirty year old people stand in the center of the arena and raise their hand. They will show the audience that the symbol within their palm has changed colors. This is the time that they will need a brand new body. While this is happening every other person living within this dome is having sex with any human that is around.

This is normal behavior for anyone who is living in this society since they are all very young and have strong carnal urges. The women and men know that their life span is short and they spend most of their time satisfying one another. Each person has a machine in their room which can select a man or woman for pleasure.

Due to the promiscuous behavior of all adults every new baby within this society is abandoned at birth. The hospital takes the time to nurture each infant and prepares them for the world. These children will never really know their parents and they will be given special names. It is not unusual when a new child has a digit assigned at the end of their name.

If a child comes from a family which is poor then they are required to live in the dangerous area of the dome. This is a place that is quite horrible and carries all types of terrors. The people living on the outside have to fight for survival every day and this can be very straining on them. The dome society has decided that these people will only make it to their eighteenth birthday.

Logan and his friend decided to make a bold exit from the dome city after his thirtieth birthday. He claimed that the officials had made a mistake on his time line. This was one man who was determined to survive and he was not afraid of the dangerous police who followed behind him. The sandmen made sure that every thirty year old person would report to the carousel arena for execution.

Many of these runners never made it past the young murderers who lived outside of this glorious city. Some of them were even frozen by a robot that resided within the ice caverns. He was very devious and enjoyed murdering all of these poor souls.
