Let's face it: the general public has always had - and probably always will have - a certain fascination with celebrities. They have wealth, power and influence that most of us can only dream about. That being the case, we often have a tendency to forget that - underneath it all - they are still people. Moreover, they tend to have the same traits, vices and virtues that the rest of us have.
For instance, a number of Hollywood stars and celebrities are known to to be just downright nasty, mean people. They'll unload both barrels on anything and anybody having the misfortune to be in range: fans, colleagues, you name it. Unsurprisingly, one of the most notorious people to fall into this camp is model Naomi Campbell. She is quite famous for her temper tantrums, and has been known to physically attack her assistants, staff members, and even law enforcement officers.
On the flip side of the equation, some celebrities have a reputation for being exceptionally nice. They are approachable, congenial and often go out of their way to let their fans and other people around them know how much they are appreciated. Keanu Reeves, for example, is regarded as one of the nicest guys in Hollywood. One well-known story is that of a motorist who was stranded and Keanu pulled over to help her, eventually calling a tow truck and then giving her a ride home.
There are also celebrities who are shockingly smart. Quite a number of Tinseltown's elite are known for their brains as well as their beauty (or brawn). This camp contains a number of individuals who might come as a surprise to many people, such as Pulp Fiction director ( and high school dropout) Quentin Tarantino.
In short, celebrities are really no different than anyone else. Some are good, some are bad, some are smart, etc. They're like the rest of us; they just tend to do things on a larger scale.
