Throughout history, there are a number of unsung geniuses who sought to innovate peoples lives and the life on the planet. One of them is Viktor Schauberger, a formally uneducated but well read man who spent the most part of his life observing nature and learning from it. His applications and insights have so much beauty in their simplicity and so harmonious with nature that his ideas and works deserve much more recognition. In fact, this planet is desperate for inventions based on technology such as Viktors to become the industry norm.

Viktor was born in Austria on 30th June 1885 from a family of foresters. His father, grandfather, great-grandfather, as well as the father before him were all forest wardens. As a kid, he showed a lot of interest in anything to do with nature. From his background, he learnt to trust his intuitive awareness and observations, just like the fathers before him.

In the researches he made as an adult, Viktor was able to learn about the importance of water properties and offer explanations about them. Moreover, he came up with a number of methods that he could use to maintain water at high levels of vitality and purity. He also found out that the patterns of the universe had their origins from two polarities. Additionally, he did research to know how water moved and swirled in a natural way in creeks and streams.

By observing how natural free-flowing water will always turn in a tightening or growing vortex-pattern, Viktor came up with a number of ideas. One of the ideas was that the polarities that can be observed in the natures spiral patterns are the life's necessities. Life occurs in an upward expanding spiral, then lessens while waning in the opposite receding spiral. He figured out that in nature, these two forces always work as a team in harmony so as to create life's foundation.

Viktor later applied these observations in initiating designs for generating motion and power. The designs worked harmoniously with nature in that they did not produce emissions that were toxic. He was of the opinion that nature is the foremost teacher, and hence the work of technology was not to correct nature but to copy it.

Viktor afterwards conducted research on how the decline of river Rhine took place, finding out that it was an example of the aftermath of convection regulation of water and deforestation. All the today's degenerated and mismanaged rivers initially were mighty rivers with waters so clear that the surface could be observed at depths of several meters.

Degeneration of river Rhine started with the cutting down of the Swiss Alps in the area that was the Rhine source. This disturbed the ecological balance, causing the river to start silting up. In order increase the speed of the flow of water and make it possible for the river to clear off its path, bends and meanders were straightened.

Sadly, the genius and knowledge of Viktor Schauberger became perceived as a threat powers in the society and its corporate ideologies, and he died a despaired and broken man. Under coercion and threat, his lifework and patents were signed over to men who discarded what could be used for good while exploiting the rest for destruction and greed.
