There are many stories on the Savior Jesus and his life. My favorite is the one that tells us about his birth. Maybe you have heard about it. Of the many Christmas play scripts this is one that tells us how the shepherds learnt about the Baby Jesus who lay in the manger and was visited by the Wise men and blessed by them.

One should surely have heard of the red-nosed reindeer Rudolph. His story is one that is mostly sung and then there are the ones that tell you of how Herod the King in power during the time so Jesus, wanted to kill him. Many people simply adapt the stories to everyday occurrences. One thing they all have in common is that they are all interesting and have very colorful characters.

Many of these stories bring their own share of wonder and magic. Add Santa Claus and one gets new and varied dimensions, some of which are really fantastic. Of course, Santa and his sleigh bells will be a part of every Christmas tale that is told. He is the inspiration for the children and the way he brings them toys is second only to the story of the stork bringing babies.

All the stories written for Christmas will deal exclusively with the birth and the events surrounding it. Joseph is the principal character as he is the father of child Jesus and Mary the mother also occupies huge portions in the proceedings. The Wise Men who bring the gifts are prominently portrayed in some while the shepherds are shown to be the main characters in quite some others.

The adventurous stories are those which deal with the action where Joseph escapes from the clutches of the bad king Herod. He is chased by the soldiers but thanks to the timely warning from the Magi he manages to escape. There are some scripts which show Herod as the bad king who is destroyed by his hatred.

Scripts are written for the sake of the children. They help to make the children understand what their religion is all about. It helps them appreciate the Glory of Christ. It brings out the advantages of being a Christian, one who is ready to share and care for his neighbors. All the dramas show how one could be a better Christian in his or her life.

By involving children in the dramas one helps them to find their own way in the world. It helps them realize the moral orientation that is necessary if they are to be true Christians. The interactions with their friends and watchers-on help them to understand what they are doing in their lives. Brotherhood and spirit of sharing helps foster love.

There are stories that inspire and these Christmas play scripts have continued to inspire generations of people. Maybe some of them are skeptical, since many of these events happened so long ago. But it is the spirit of sharing and the ability to receive love that makes man different from the animals. It is the one thing that man as a social being shares more than anything in the world.
