If you have taken years of music lessons and still need help with how to sing high notes, then perhaps you may be interested in trying a new study path. Though traditional vocal techniques are valuable, there are new methods that use very easy tips to help you find greater success. Here are what some expert teachers have to say about this.

Though you might think this is old news, you should really consider how you stand. A simple posture change, such as standing straight and moving your shoulders back and down can make a huge difference. The reason is that this stance helps to open your torso in order to breath in more air. More air intake means better control of those high notes on the outflow.

Make this one crucial evaluation of your feet. Be certain that you are standing with your feet shoulder width apart. If you struggle with pitch in your upper range, be sure to turn your toes slightly inward. This will raise your pitch and tend to keep you singing in tune more easily. This little known tip works wonders.

When you are certain that your body is well placed over your feet, then try taking in more air when you breath. You should find it easier. You will probably also find that you are able to hold longer phrases much more easily in the higher tones.

Try lifting your arms over your head when singing in your high range. For any troublesome pitch, just have your fingers dance up and down, floating from your wrist, and do this as you try those difficult pitches. This exercise helps to remove pressure from your throat.

Another excellent technique is to bend your knees slightly when the vocal line goes up. Bending into the sound in this manner provides support for the torso and allows the sounds to simply fly out. Though it is a counter-intuitive motion, it works exceedingly well.

Some voices will need to increase air intake to reach the upper tones more easily. To do this, form your arms in the shape of a big, round barrel in front of your abdomen. When you need to take in more air, move your rounded arms outward as if the barrel is expanding. You diaphragm muscles will expand more freely and help support your breathing. Your tone will become more open and warm as well.

Pinch your buttocks to reach those high tones. For many, how to sing high notes quickly and easily will be found immediately in this one simple exercise. Sounds silly in rehearsal, but actually works great because it provides support for the trunk and helps the body to take in more air and control it. Better singing starts right away.
