This season crocheted headbands are still the rage. Girls have at least one band in their wardrobes. From babies to grandmothers, there is a style for everyone. It is a great time to start selling bands on the internet. Designing trendy looks is much simpler than most people think.

Making and decorating lace hair accessories is simple. At least one crochet hook and a variety of fibers with high elasticity can make dozens of bands from any fillet pattern. Making the entire accessory from scratch is appealing to some experienced crafters, but it is not the most cost efficient way to start a successful business.

Start-up entrepreneurs may find buying pre-fabricated bands in bulk is a much easier way to start. Locating wholesalers online is simple. Removing the overhead costs associated with fully handmade products puts salable items on sale quickly.

The most popular bands for the season are bright, playful, and chunky. The variety available in wholesale lots is wide. Prospective sellers can find many sizes, widths, and colors to choose from. The materials used are stretchy, so it is easy to advertise true 'one size fits all' bands based on ages.

Sellers can customize bands to create unique styles. Inexpensive artificial flowers can be found in most arts and crafts stores. Pin or sew a large silk flower to a band and instantly the plain band becomes a one-of-a-kind fashion accessory suitable for springtime.

Spools of ribbons offer dozens of creative options. Bows are still a popular trend, and they are wearable year-round. A thin satin ribbon can be tied into half-a-dozen tiny bows and sewn in a row on the edge of the band, or a wide patterned fabric ribbon can be tied into a large single bow for a lovely touch to the side of the head.

Use narrow 1/8' to 1/4' ribbons to alternate through the open fillet work of the band. Using a mini-safety pin, attach the pin to the end of a long strip of ribbon and feed it through the holes in the desired pattern and color combination. Attach the weave with a few stitches, and don't forget to leave a reasonable patch of un-workedarea so the band remains flexible for a snug fit.

No matter how new to arts & crafts the seller may be, making and selling crocheted headbands is easy. Play with different trinkets to decorate the bands--even puffy glues and glitter glues offer unlimited options. After creating a nice selection, the accessories are attractive commodities for online sellers. Some might prefer weekend flea markets while others may auction the bands in eBay or open an Etsy store. Considering how low the investment costs are, bands can be offered at cheap but profitable prices. The strength of this trend will certainly sell these products in no time.
