Are you ready for new style and new change in your home or apartment? Would you like to decorate your home to be the envy of the neighborhood? Whether your home is small or large, every interior space can be transformed into a beautiful and comfortable oasis.

Of course you would, but where do you start? It starts with knowing what your personal style is. Your personal style is a reflection of you and your past and present experiences.

Your personal style is collected through your life's experiences, travel. Education, shopping sprees and more, and add memorabilia that can be proudly displayed in every room in the house.

The stoneware you purchased in England, the area rug in India and the pottery in Italy all reflect your personal style and taste.

Your personal style shines through every item you collect or purchase. Soon you will begin to notice this. These are the items you will display that turn your house into a home.

Now if you are in doubt about what your personal style is, take a stroll to a few furniture stores in your area. They will display designer showcase or "vignettes" that will give you tons of decorating ideas for your home, from furniture to lamps and everything in between.

Furniture stores will display vignettes of living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms and dining rooms. Each vignette will show all types of colors, fabrics, textures, lighting, furniture and so forth. I'm sure it'll spark a lot of creativity within and start your juices flowing.

If you plan to purchase on one of these shopping sprees, first and foremost, make sure you have your measurements readily available. Never buy furniture without measuring your space.

Don't forget about digging into some design magazines for more decorating tips and ideas. You can always clip out your favorites and take them with you as you shop. Soon you'll be on your way to finding your personal style.
