It is rare to find great personalities who excel in various fields and one of such is Karan Johar. He started up his career as an actor in Aditya Chopra's, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge and later made a directorial debut in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Some of his movies were highest grosser in the overseas market as well, one of which was his first debutant itself.

Karan has created some of the blockbusters, most of which has starred the King Khan, like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai which bagged numerous awards. It was also Karan's most successful start up as a director. This movie became a huge hit as it was a beautiful blend of romance and family drama. Also the movie was highly acclaimed amongst the audience abroad and many youngsters followed it as a cult.

It is a wonder how, Karan has an effortless equation with everyone in the industry. This was clearly depicted in his chat show Coffee with Karan which ran two seasons on air. Karan is currently working on his upcoming movie named as Student of the Year, which stars the new comers Sidharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt. This is the first time that he is working with new faces. Earlier he never experimented with new ones rather he used to always team up with his old Bollywood favorites like Shahrukh, Kajol etc.

The sources claims that Karan is spending a lot of time with his actors, reading the scripts with them so that they could get thorough with their dialogues and get ingrained in their characters. He is also attending the choreographies to ensure that his actors feel very comfortable.

Prior to the first scheduled of the shooting commenced, Karan arranged for extra script reading sessions with Varun, Sidharth and Alia. He sat with them together and individually to ensure that they have ingrained the scene successfully. Karan in a true sense mentored these three lads. Karan took an extra step by ensuring that he was also present during the choreography to make the atmosphere comfortable and amicable for them.

He has also been a part of other television shows like Lift Kara De and Jhalak Dikhla Jaa. He is very excited about his upcoming movie and is trying hard to make it a great success. It's believed that the sets are full of energy, fun, youthfulness along with the competition as the set is full with the young people. He is giving proper attention to each of his actors.
