I suggest everyone should buy this. I considered the next model up in the Actron product range, but did not add much value for my needs.

I have a '96 Nissan truck and worked great to helping find out what was wrong for me to fix it. 3 weeks ago my CEL light came on. It did the job it said it would do. It turns out it was just a cylinder misfire.

I had to reset the trouble codes twice with this device to fix a faulty gas cap. Kind of a pain but it had all the codes you need.

It saved us a trip to the mechanic just to find out why my "check engine soon" light came on. I do most of my own auto repair work and when my Lincoln "Check Engine" light lit up, I wanted to repair it myself.

If you want to spend more you can buy a reader that will translate the codes right on its little screen. I was able to reset it in a few seconds and all is fine again. It basically paid for itself right then. But bottom line, it works. They could have printed this info on the device to make it easier, Buying this for $60 saved me a "$750" repair that the shop fraudulently claimed was needed! Thank you For less than the price of getting my truck analyzed in the shop I fixed it and have the tool to do it again.

Saved me a couple of hundred bucks on repair I saw this box on a tool show on cable television a while back, and decided to buy one. Well I am happy to say my fears were not warranted. Used it on a 2002 Volvo S40.

In any case, I've found this unit to be extremely helpful, and it paid for itself nearly immediately. It's utterly simple to use & read- what more can you ask for?!

Long story short after 4 separate trips to attempt to repair the minor item tripping the light, I finally gave up. The code reader allowed me to double-check the cause, and clear the warning light myself.

The device is easy to use and cheaper than you would pay at a parts store. I connected this Actron CP9125, followed instructions and the error code was quickly located.

Was able to diagnose a bad thermostat and replace for 1/3 the mechanics cost. Problem found and fixed included bad #1 O-2 sensor and leaking EGR valve. But bottom line, it works.
