In 1967 Chevrolet came out with the Camaro. It hit the market with fire and energy providing a lot of power to the needs of those who wanted it. Through time the model has seen many faces and changes. However, the 2011 Camaro is now seeing a new surge of the classic model that first came off of the factory floor.
The base model is one along with the Coupe 1Lt, 2 LT, 1SS and Coups 2SS. Their price range falls from a little over twenty two thousand to almost thirty five thousand depending on the model and package that you choose. As the same in 1967 their base model comes standard with a six cylinder engine.
Most of the basic models of the new Camaro have a standard 3.6 liter engine. It also has a V6 with a great gas mileage option for your use. You can expect to find manual transmissions and if you want automatic it will tack on a bit more. Eighteen inch wheels are also standard with the basic lines. As you get higher in category you rank up in the wheels that come with the car.
When you consider the different levels of upgrades let's talk about the Coupe 1LT. It has the same as the basic with a 3.6 liter and 312 horsepower engine with manual transmission. But it also has front integrated fog lamps, six way power driver seat and more. The Convenience and Connectivity package is available as well as a sunroof and RS package. You can expect to pay around twenty four thousand for the Coupe 1LT.
Basic packages are fortunate to offer OnStar with turn by turn directions standard for the first six months you own the vehicle. Other standard features are included. As you upgrade to higher end models you get other features such as better quality speakers, sunroofs and other options.
Basically you get two options for your needs as far as power goes for the new model coming out. The V6 is a great option or you can get the V8 engine with the SS line. If you want four piston Brembo vented disk brakes and a rear deck spoiler then check out the 1SS. If you want the same but with more options then go for the 2SS.
The 2SS is similar with the options as the 1SS with a bit more punch. It will run you about another five thousand dollars for the 2SS features. It also has the USB ports and Bluetooth options. These options are for selected phones. It also has a power sunroof, RS package and automatic transmission with stripe package.
With the exception to the LS the RS package is available on every model. It has a high intensity discharge headlights with LED Halo rings that are integrated. You can also fin a rear deck lid spoiler on LT models and a unique tail lamp quality to it.
Chevrolet has done a very good job at keeping with the ideal of the original 1967 Camaro. This latest model has also been done in a bit of a retro look taking in the best visual features of the 1967-1969 body styles. For an affordable american sports car, the 2011 Camaro is your car.
