Death at a Funeral is a popular movie in both England and the United States. The British version of the film was first produced and released in 2007 with the American adaptation following in 2010. This is a great movie for any comedy lover to see. Read on to find out about the plot of this exciting film and try to figure out the ending but rest assured that you will not see it coming.

The films both center around the same basic overall them which is that of two bothers who are burying their father. The two brothers have very different lives with one being very wealthy and successful and the other still living at home with their parents, even though he is married. Arguments ensue over the expense of the funeral and the wealthier brothers lack of obligation in helping with the expenses.

In the British version of the film one of the brothers lives with his father with his wife. He has wanted to buy his own flat so he has some money saved. The other brother is very wealthy but rather selfish and does not feel any responsibility to bury his father.

Mixed into the plot line are some different tales that make this one movie where you can never be sure of what is going to happen next. For instance there are some accidental doses of hallucinogenic drugs when people mistake them for valium and even a dwarf who shows up claiming to be the deceased mans lover.

The two brothers try to avoid this and give him the drug that causes hallucinations as well since they think that it is really Valium. The dwarf goes crazy, jumping on a couch, falling and hitting his head on a coffee table. When they think that he is dead they put him in the casket with their dead father. This is one of the zany things that makes Death at a Funeral so funny.

The American version of the film Death at a Funeral has the same plot line except for some minor details. In the American version the brother who is living at home with his wife also has children. Rest assured though that whichever version of the film that you choose, there is sure to be all of the funny comedy and enough of the drama that you crave.

Both films have been quickly popular and nearly everyone who sees them enjoys the comedic aspects that they have. Plus they both star leading actors that are quite popular. In the British version the two brothers are played by Rupert Graves and Matthew Macfadyen. In the American version it is Martin Lawrence and Chris Rock who share those same rolls.
