One of the most popular and racially diverse cities around the world is New York, that is the largest city in the US. Referred to as the 'Big Apple', New York attracts approximately 50 million national and global travelers for leisure and business annually. With such heavy human traffic, New York accommodation is often in demand and caters for varied types of travelers.

With about 350 hotels ranging from the upscale and luxury hotels to the backpacking and budget hotels, accommodation in New York Town gives specialty and themed facilities like shopping, global and city trips. Alternative varieties of accommodation include flats and some hostels.

There are seven main districts in New York, including Midtown, Lower Manhattan, Times Square, Upper West Side, and Central Park, where several New York City accommodations are located. There you'll find several popular sightseeing attractions, including the Empire State Building, the United Nations, Rockefeller Center, Museums, parks, and the zoo.

Midtown, Manhattan, that is the hub of New York Town accommodation, has over 130 hotels, several of which are 3 and four star-rated with some five stars, and various chief hotel chains are represented. Staying at a Midtown hotel places you in the midst of shopping, entertainment and various sightseeing venues.

For the business traveler, New York accommodation in Lower Manhattan's Financial District has seventeen business themed hotels, which provide simple admission to Wall Street, the New York Stock Exchange and the World Trade Center. Lower Manhattan is also a diner and shopper's delight for cheap designer merchandise and tasty foods in the Chinatown area.

You may stay at a three or four stars New York City accommodation in the Theater District of Times Sq., where about 85% of the hotels cater for the shopping crowds and 75% for tourism visitors. Catching a Broadway show, enjoying varied and fine dining or exciting nightlife activity is in your grasp from your New York accommodation in Times Square.

Finding cheap accommodation in New York may be a fortune, with so much to see and do in the city, that never sleeps. You will find about seventy of the over 300 New York accommodations, which are inexpensive and most of that cater for city trip visitors. These accommodations are mostly in Midtown and also the Upper West Side, close to the sightseeing, shopping and cultural and artistic areas.

While you will be ready to reserve some last minute New York hotels, be prepared to pay premium rate particularly during the peak season of summer and special holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas.
