So last night I had resigned myself to a lazy night of watching TV. The weather wasn't so hot, and I couldn't find anybody that wanted to do anything. Then a couple of old friends called me up out of the blue. It seems that they had come across some tickets for some show at some club. We all went, not even knowing what kind of show it was going to be. It turned out to be a magician. I have never in my life been so incredibly mesmerized as I was that night. Let me tell you about it.
He started off with basic magician stuff. Sleight of hand tricks. Covertly taking peoples wallets. At one point he was circulating, talking to people at different tables. He sat down next to this guy for a minute, then stood and started walking away when the guy realized he'd switched their shoes.
The next set of tricks he did were these weird picture tricks. He would get three or four random people in the audience, and get them to draw a simple picture on a napkin. Then he would inspect them, and show them to the crowd. Then he revealed this big picture that he obviously painted before the show. The kicker was that his previously painted picture contained all the small pictures that the audience drew.
After that he started doing these wild psychic tricks. He pretended that he was a professional psychic, but he actually guessed people's names and birthdays and all kinds of other secret stuff perfectly. People were really amazed at his abilities.
Just when we thought he had reached his limit, he asked some people to come on stage. He did this really cool hypnosis, where he hypnotized people into guessing the birthdays of strangers. It was the most bizarre thing I've ever seen.
If you haven't ever seen a magician up close ad live, I highly recommend it. What would even be better would be for you to learn some magic tricks yourself, so you can have some fun with your friends, and impress them as much as I was impressed by this guy.
