There are millions of artists in the world today, but only a small handful truly stands out for excellence and beauty. Zinour is a Canadian fine artist who does just that. Zinour was named one of Canada's best fine artists at the Kingston Prize competition recently. This Calgary fine artist competition was held this year and was a highly competitive competition.

Zinour was one of the top 30 artists that were chosen and was up against tough competition in the portrait category. Canada has an amazingly large number of gifted painters and portrait artists. The strikingly real appearance of these paintings is only second to the artistic design that makes these portraits truly stunning.

Zinour stands out from other fine artists because of his use of various mediums that are quite different from one another. Zinour has created excellent traditional portraits along with sculptures and wood-carvings. Zinour captures the heart of his subject in a way that communicates to the viewer.

Zinour has also done pieces that praise the accomplishments of those he admires. For example, the painting, Christos Hatzis: Juno award-winning, Canadian composer; professor of composition at the University of Toronto is an excellent example of an individual admired by the author for his own contributions to art. This masterpiece portrait captures the composer in a natural way. It is amazing.

People do not often know about the rich artistic contribution that Canada has to offer, but with just a little research it becomes quite obvious. Some of the most moving artwork I have seen in my life has been by Canadian artists.

Zinour is a Calgary fine artist who carries on the tradition of excellence that has grown in Canada over the years. If you have an interest in fine art, look into Canadian artists. You will be quite happy that you took the time to find out more about Canadian artists.
