Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm: Formulaic film in regards to spunky gal who's sent to live with her 2 abrasive aunts; mixes emotion, melodrama, and comedy, although it needs the spontaneity and kindle of other Pickford films. All about My Mother: After a lady loses her child, she returns to Barcelona, renews a old relationship with a transvestite, and becomes involved with an actress her child adored. Cast includes Cecilia Roth, Marisa Paredes, Penelope Cruz, Antonia San Juan, Candela Pena, and Eloy Azorin. (101 minutes, 1999)

White Noise: Jonathan Rivers has lost his wife Anne. Then, he is contacted by a man who claims to have heard Anne's voice, and has a recording of it. Then Jonathan himself captures a recording of Anne's voice, and an image of her on video. Anne's message to Jonathan is to find the brutal killer that took her life, so he won't harm anyone else.

Across the Bridge: Scotland Yard is closing in on a German business man who is involved with some illegal deals. He goes on the run, and tries to enter the US by way of Mexico. To pull this off he tries to switch identities with another passenger on his way. Stars include Rod Steiger, David Knight, and Maria Landi. (1957 British-Drama)

A Few Good Men: Two Marines are being held responsible for the death of a fellow marine. They claim they were ordered to punish private Santiago, and his death was not intended. Lt. Daniel Kaffee will try to save the marines and get to the bottom of the case.

Rentadick: Out of the nether-land between The Goon Show and Monty Python comes this romp written by Python buddies John Cleese and Graham Chapman, spoofing the classic private-detective films. An experimental nerve gas that paralyzes people from the waist down has been stolen, and Rentadick, Inc. is employed to track down the perpetrators. Cast includes Jim Clark, James Booth, Julie Ege, Ronald Fraser, Donald Sinden, Michael Bentine, Richard Briers, and Spike Milligan. (94 minutes, 1972)
