Bobby LaPonte is confessedly just a kid. He is six seasons young, an only child, and resides with his family in Johns Creek, Ga. .

Although Bobby possesses large dreams. While jovial in age, he's wholly fixated on his fantasy to sometime compete in NASCAR's huge scene, the Sprint Cup Series.

Bobby's aspirations are so large, really, that he frequently dreams about driving with the big guys. As per to his folks, Larry and Nancy, he even mimicks the clamor of NASCAR cars in bed.

Larry believes that his boy gave increase to his love of NASCAR while still a fetus.

"I raced the amateur road course tour for 10 seasons," he said. "When my wife was expecting with Bobby, she would always come to watch me race and we believe that is when Bobby began his obsession with nascar."

A lot akin to Jeff Gordon and his girl Ella, the LaPontes maintain photographs of youthful Bobby jumping in and out of his father's race car when he was just a toddler.

Bobby might drive every day if he may, and he gets that opportunity with the long driving year, from March until November, in the Southern aspect of the country. He and his father drive each weekend, habitually driving to other states, including Alabama, North Carolina, and Tennessee, to partake in their regional events.

This past July, Bobby took park in his 1st national finals event. He won his semifinal group race.

Bobby is quick to notify you that he races quarter midgets, a lesser version of the USAC Midget Sprint autos that Cup racers such as NASCAR's finals point president Tony Stewart started his career driving.

Bobby lets you know that because he plans to trail in Stewart's footprints and take that same road in his own racing career.

This little man indeed is looking forward to achieving his giant NASCAR dreams, that of racing with his heroes in the seasons to come.
