The Chevy Astro was a popular line of minivans from Chevrolet. The product was conceived in 1985 and underwent a number of redesigns until the final of an inline was constructed and sold in 2005. These minivans remain popular still, not only because they are considerably cheaper to buy second-hand now, but they also have a history of reliability and safety.

During the lifespan of this particular range of vehicles, things were somewhat different in many respects to how they are today. Firstly, minivans were considered to be crude utility vehicles with little emphasis on comfort and extra features that you would normally expect in a family vehicle.

Little emphasis was placed on comfort and ease of use. The vehicles were designed to be reliable and practical, to transport large quantities of goods around for several people. During its lifespan, it easily fulfilled all the basic requirements that one would expect of a minivan. However, certain models also accommodated up to eight passengers, making it extremely useful for a number of reasons.
