It seems as though "mini" video game systems have become all the rage in the past year or so. With the NES and SNES Classic Edition systems distributed by Nintendo, it would make sense for other companies to get in on the craze as well. Enter the PlayStation Classic, which is Sony's attempt that finding real estate in this market. Here are some of the details about this device that an online marketing company will be able to share.

If you were familiar with the Super Nintendo and the SNES Classic Edition, the PlayStation Classic follows the same principle. According to such names as www.fishbat.com, it's a miniature device that's modeled after the original PlayStation console, which came out in the United States in 1995. Furthermore, it will come with 20 games that can be played right out of the box. For those that grew up with the original system, this new device is likely to pique your interest.

While there are still some games that haven't been announced for the PlayStation Classic, there are a few that long-time gamers should be familiar with. One such title is "Final Fantasy VII," which is regarded by many as the most important RPG of all-time. The fact that this system will feature such a classic means that avid gamers won't have to scour the Internet to find a copy. This is just one of the many games that buyers should expect.

The PlayStation Classic isn't perfect, however, as many long-time gamers and potential customers have noted. A common criticism has to do with the controllers, in that they lack analog sticks. While this is in line with the original controllers, they have gotten better since then. Also, there is no AC adapter included in the box. Many people have considered the $100 asking price to be steep, too. Given that Nintendo's recent mini consoles have been more affordable by comparison, one has to wonder how Sony's will fare.

When it comes to the PlayStation Classic, the level of interest is warranted. Mini consoles like these have proven to be hot sellers, especially during the holidays, so it's fair that many people will be interested in trying them out. However, there's still much that we don't know about the Classic. As time goes on, and more news is shared, you may be able to better determine if this is a worthwhile investment for your video game collection.
