Years from now you will look back on your wedding day and hopefully have lots of photographs to remind you of not only what happened, but also the feelings you may have had. A good Wedding Photographer Athens Georgia will capture the moments, expressions, and situations that reveal thoughts and feelings that will be triggered for years to come through photos.

It is a simple fact of life that with the arrival of digital cameras, many people now call themselves a "professional". Over recent years there has been an explosion of people offering their services as marriage photographers, many of who have never received any training, have no insurance, do not use professional equipment and do not have sufficient backups in place to cater for any eventuality.

They choose their photographer based on the opinions of someone else opinion alone. This is your marriage. While it is good to have help and recommendations, make sure that the person you choose is the one you want. Take time to talk to them, see their work, and understand who they are and how they work.

Know that marriage photography is both a business and a vocation. Marriage photography is a business, and professional marriage photography is one of the hardest and stressful disciplines in the game. You need to choose a professional, who is a good in business and photography. I am not talking about profits here; I am talking about the way they run the business. You need to look at the business and think - will they be here in 5 -10 years time, when I have lost my disk, and I want a re-print.

As soon as you have decided on a date, have booked your marriage venue and received confirmation then book all other services required for your marriage day as quickly as possible. Many Bride and Grooms start looking for their photographer the day they get engaged which can lead to inconveniences. The sooner you get started with the process the better.

They don't get along with the professional. Once you have determined the professional you are considering, you must now think of the actual day and how close you will be working with this individual. The personality of the professional should match you and your party. It may sound kind of simple and ridiculous to put so much weight on this, but if you have never worked closely with a professional for any length of time, you'll quickly learn otherwise.

They assume the professional can read minds. After you have established that you are compatible with the professional and happy with his style of work and are excited to see them do their magic. Make sure you sit down with the professional and let them in on who is coming and who is important and who you want in. Most professionals will make a point of doing this. You wouldn't want to have a gung-ho professional who might know the groom and his family and end up with tons of photos of them and only a few of your family.

For many Bride and Grooms, price ends up being the determining factor. You spend hundreds, if not thousands on the dress, the venue charges a small fortune, then there are the cars, the Grooms attire, Bridesmaids dresses, the cake, the flowers - cutting costs on your wedding photography can result in poor marriage photographs resulting in huge disappointment and photographs of the day that you simply do not want to look at.
