This is a band that consists of four people. They are actually siblings. Three Brothers and a sister. They become prominent because of the many awards they receive for being the Southern Gospel Group. They were discovered in the year 1967 when they are hired to sing for a revival services at a small church.

All of them had the voice and they write their own songs. And become popular in church during mass or if they need choir to sing in a particular event. They appear in several concerts in and outside the country. That was the time the group Hinsons the Lighthouse was created.

Several years later, the name has been changed to The Hinsons. All of them have the great singing voice and very talented individuals. One of them can write songs and started writing their own song. The purpose was to tell a story about them. And was recorded by The Goodmans and then they re recorded it again. The title of the song is The Lighthouse. One member of their group wrote that.

And created several albums since then. People love it and they continue to love their songs and played them in several radios stations. It was sang in different church and even hire them to sing it to them. And embrace their popularity but they never change their treatment towards others. One of the best quality why many people love them.

As their popularity continues, they are offered to co host a television hit that become an instant hit to the viewers. They have the charisma, and good with people. The songs they sang are just a plus. Gospel of Singing Jubilee was the show they hosted on television. The show lasted for several years.

In the year 1970, they have recorded new albums. And it is called Shinin In and a lot more. Though, the songs are mix and cannot be considered a gospel song because it was categorized as country music. And people continue patronize their music because of their golden voice.

After several years after which is 1988, the group was dissolve because they went into different paths. But one of the member which is the other brother, approach a record producer if they will be given a chance to get reunited as a group. The request was granted and are able to perform on stage for the last time and had series of concerts. And made an album that was finished in 1992.

The tour was cut short, because one member that was considered the lead singer, was diagnosed with cancer. He has a kidney. On the same year of 1995, several months later, he died at the age of 41. Their awards and achievements have been recognized by the music industry. And they were given honor. They receive the Dove Award and Singing News Fan Awards for winning the best favorite group.

They receive several recognition. And were inducted as Gospel Music Associate in 2004. The other brother who died was recognized as Decade Artist. It was so painful for them but they need to move on. Some of them have a different career. The other one still performs, and they keep writing songs related to the Gospel, and produced concerts. And won as the favorite songwriter of the year from 1988 to 1991.
