Medical miracle stories are not that unheard of. And they range in their severity bordering on the bizarre. In most cases the fatality of each case had zero chances of survival. But somehow the victims have received a second chance at life. Below are a number of cases that have been recorded in the recent past.

One story is about a window washer known as Alcides Moreno age 37. This happened as he and his brother were cleaning a skyscraper in New York. Although his brother died in the accident, he survived the forty seven story fall. His doctors were afraid of moving him when he arrived at the emergency room that he had to be operated on there. He was left in a vegetative state for about three weeks only for him to gain consciousness on Christmas day.

There is also a story of this teenage girl who was involved in an accident. The vehicle she was traveling in was at 70mph when it happened. She received severe injuries including several broken bones. After she underwent numerous surgeries involving the use of various rods to hold her together she got well. In fact she went ahead and took up modeling five months after the accident and was no longer in need of painkillers.

A fourteen year old known as DZhana Simmons also had an amazing story. She needed a heart transplant which unfortunately failed. As she was on a waiting list for another, doctors had to use pumps to supply her body with blood. This was for about 118 days until finally a new heart was found for her. Her recovery was so first she was able to have a kidney transplant a day after the heart transplant.

Martin Jones who was a builder by profession was involved in some industrial accident that saw him blind. He stayed this way for several years until he was taken in for a rare surgery that had only been done a few times in Britain. This involved using part of his tooth as an implant to save his sight. This procedure finally succeeded enabling him to see his wife for the first time whom he had married four years earlier.

Two parents, Mike and Shannon Gimbel were agonizing over what choice to make. Their doctors had told them that they had to choose which baby to save from their unborn twins. They suffered a rare condition known as Twin-To-Twin Syndrome. This is where failure to terminate one may lead to the death of both or one of them. However after some special laser surgery to cauterize their blood vessels and enable them to lead independent lives they were able to make it alive.

An accident left one Jordan Taylor with a serious injury. His head decapitated the skull from the vertebrae. The doctors estimated chances of survival as at one percent. After many prayers from his family and a leap of faith by the doctors, they managed to re attach the severed part. His too was a success story and he has been able to lead a normal life.

Medical miracle stories cannot be complete without mentioning David Blancarte a paraplegic. He was left paralyzed after a motorcycle accident for twenty years. After being bitten by a spider he ended up being hospitalized for eight months. He healed and gained his ability to walk.
