Turbans are customary head wear which is present in middle eastern cultures and in some African countries. These are usually worn by men and are very popular in places like India and Pakistan. These are known as Pagri in some cultures. Naturally, the Western culture would want to know how to turban since it is a very curious thing to have.

These can be very simple or ornate and the type of fabric used can be used to make sure that they get the best that they can have. It is used to determine the status and the ethnicity of the wearer. For the Sikhs, they believe that there is one God and that there are many paths for the salvation and enlightenment of the person.

Historically, this was known as a religious millinery hat and has been around for thousands of years. It was first mentioned in a memoir made by a Spaniard at the end of the Moorish occupation of Spain. Throughout the history, many men who have made a mark in the history are said to have worn this.

Many Muslims wear these in green because for them it represents paradise. In some parts of north Africa, blue is the most common shade which can also signify the tribe where it really came from. It is said that there are at least sixty six types of turbans that are available and many of these are reserved for special occasions. However, Sikh men wore these all the time except when they are sleeping.

In many parts of India, these are wrapped directly around the head of the wearer. In some middle eastern countries like the Pakistan, this is more or less wrapped over a cap for a neat and clean look. These caps are called the topi or the rigid cap which will then be covered with an embroidery called the Kulah.

In Greece, the Island of Crete is known to wear one in the end. There are so many people who are more accustomed to the eating of the things in the area. It is more commonly known as the Kritiko mandili. The black colored one is used in time of mourning and the white one is used for weddings. This bore the influence of the Ottoman occupation and the German occupation during the second world war.

Kurdish people are usually required to wear one which they call the Jamadani. It is worn in different ways which will depend on the style on how it is worn by many people. These can come in red and which are are usually different in style depending on the clan that they have. Many of these consist of the stripped clothing which is a conical hat.

In the increasingly pluralistic Western civilization, the garment has been the symbol of the commitment of the country for religious freedom which is valued by the Sikhs. There should be people who are going to have the best that they can have.

Men are taught how to turban at a very young age which will then be applied when they grow up. Women in some regions have began wearing these clothing for quite some time now. It is more prevalent in the Western countries which are more liberated than the East.
