"Avant-Garde" is termed to describe unique pieces which completely break new grounds and limits; things that have never been done prior in the visual art arena and which defy social valuesand generally accepted societal beliefs. The label was adapted from the military term vanguard, which means a collection of soldiers that were posted as lookouts, who were sent out ahead of the remainder of the army ,to assess the situation and develop an acceptable course. Painters who are identified strong in the avant-garde have many followers and copycats working to be noticed with the same stylish, artistic method.

Contemporary painter Toros, or Avant-Garde Creator as he is more commonly known , is a famous contemporary artist working today whose method is frequently labeled as avant-garde movement. He is known for his eerie ability to capture the character and essence of the subject of his portraits through colors and shapes that highlight Toros's individuality and unique style. Each of Toros's dream-like paintings harbors the individual hallmark of his vibrant, unique individuality and is brought to fabulous life in a manner that only he can do.

What stands out the most obviously in the work of Toros is its focus on pure, unadulterated imagination and the application of joyous scenes, strange forms, and vivid hues that, for the viewer, are a reminder of carefree youthful days. As members of acceptable modern society, we are all very aware of the heavy center on money, property, and social status as the primary things to be esteemed and searched for in life. We discern the impact of the avant-garde movement view in the manner Toros uses his own creativity and apparent boundless imagination to engage us to return for a second to a era when life was all about unspoiled joy, unrestrained joy, and the unbounded country presented to us by our own imaginations.

With his imaginative, whimsical mode of expression, he offers a fanciful contrast to the cold, physical values of our contemporary society, reminding us that creativity and innocence can give a counterweight to our adult reality.

Through the canvases of contemporary painters like Toros, we are able to analyze ourselves in regards to our own world views and values. By engaging us to use our individuality and imagination, painters feel their work betters everyone's lives.
