During her stay in Ireland her trip is filled with many misfortunes. This misfortunes prolong her time away from her loved one and force her to reevaluate her relationship during this time. She is able to overcome these incidents through the help of a young man that she encounters. Even in her attempts to push this man away he is there until the end ensuring her safety and well-being.
After the two have been forced to spend such a long period of time together they begin to form a quality friendship. This friendship started off on a rocky road because the two are so hard-headed neither one will ever back down. However, as they being to grow on each other they quickly realize that they could learn a lot from one another.
The young man turns out to be a good man who helped her through all of her struggles along the way. Without his help she never would have completed her long and treacherous journey. Throughout the time they spent together during their journey the young man is able to impart some wisdom upon this young woman. He is able to show her the true meaning of life. This is the message that the audience should take away from the film.
