The Apple ipod nano has changed forever, it's been completely redesigned from the ground up. The new nano is small that's for sure, but does it perform and offer the same functionality as its predecessors. The nano is much sleeker and has a pretty multi touch screen. The mp3 player is no bigger than half a credit card in size. The operating system is a cut down version of iOS. The GUI takes on much of the same look and feel as the iPhone and Touch devices by apple.

The nano has always been simple to use, now that apple have removed some of the original features it have become even simpler. Not necessarily a good thing if you ask me. Apple has created an even bigger gap between the Apple iPod Touch and nano with the removal off the camera and video playback.

The new interface offers a much more rich experience and is way more intuitive than the classic iPod. You have the same playback and sorting options as before, the new touch screen, multitouch screen allows you to effortlessly find just what you are after without years off scrolling as our music collections are getting bigger by the day. The new GUI looks and feels just like iOS, built from different tried and tested components from years of OS X development. So we know we're getting something quality straight off the bat.

With brilliant results - the nano feels just like iOS in all the ways that count. The micro springboard offers a similar experience to iOS however not exactly the same. Moving icons around to customise your display is available in jiggly mode as Apple likes to call it. Return back to your home screen by just pressing down on the centre of the screen. Swipe right to go to previous menu's.

Outstanding results in audio quality and navigation make we want to go out and buy one right away. The miniature springboard is really responsive and offers easy navigation as previously discussed. You can even move icons around as you do on your iPhone, using the jiggly option. Returning back to your home screen is simple by just holding down in the centre of the screen.

I actually think the sound is better, but check out the video on in the link below at Want To Blog. Better bass and treble. The price of the nano is the same as previous versions, but it has less features so I don't exactly think that is fair on Apple's behalf. I would like to see the price come down before I go out and purchase my own. Capacity has always been an issue, but I think in time we should see the capacity go skyward.
