As modernity ages, several changes takes place. So much with all too familiar social revolutions way from the past like industrial revolution and all, modernity gave rise to the all too conservative talk of the sexual revolution. Speaking about sexuality, it is by nature human, so basically, people are inclined to it. That is why during the 1960s, John Williamson, together with his wife Barbara started the new ideal for the sexual behavior. Now, there is one living structure catering to this ideal and that is the Sandstone retreat. This is basically a project which he built for the purpose of research and by initializing his proposal for sexual revolution.

Since sexuality became more aggressive and malicious nowadays due to the many aspects and factors which are present in the environment, Williamson, together with Barbara, his wife founded a ground where a shift in the usual context of sexuality is evident. They eliminated the taboos and taught the benefits of the forbidden norms. He and his wife actually also practiced this, and he said that it worked good for them.

Such disposition is what he wanted to change. That people get rid of possessiveness when it comes to partners so that it would not bother them to see each other being intimate with another. This is what they called free love. They believed that without this impediment, there would be peace since no crime and misunderstandings will happen.

So in order to get this to happen, they give people seminars and get them to understand the principles, objectives, and benefits of the engagement. So usually, the subject of their seminars talk about human bonding, sexuality and relationships. Aside from that, they train people to see nakedness as a usual thing. That is why in this venue, people are free to go naked and conduct any sexual activity. According to him, it is connecting nature and natural inclination.

It is completely opposing the practice of dressing conservatively to avoid invitation or drive. Instead, they place it as being used to seeing such things would eliminate sex drive naturally. Speaking of this, about at least five hundred guests gather to observe this every weekend. In the venue, they can participate in group sex and swap spouses for satisfaction. But according to Williamson, it is optional.

Due to this very controversial and forbidden culture, they also garnered much media attention. So much with their endeavor and desire of changing the culture which has from the beginning been the strongest feeling, the overall population did not approve of the idea. Basically, though the world has been inclined to sexual emotions due to the natural call, conjugal love still transcends the idea.

True enough, sexuality has worsened its condition nowadays due to the many influences there are in the society such as television programs which arouse the sex drive of individuals resulting to a lot of misgiving and diruptions with relationships and the peace with the norms. Aside from that, the incompetence of parenthood and the corrupt attitude of people lead to the situation nowadays.

According to individuals who approved of the idea, such ideal is consenting evil. For them, Sandstone is the result of a very human understanding of freedom and peace since for people who have the proper mindset, true love would not consent to such activity. And this is how marital relationships should also be.
