It is a matter of great pride for Kermit's Key West Key Lime Shoppe to be showing support for the Defending Freedom Warrior Weekend Benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project once again. Complete Parachute Solutions is a company, manufacturing high-tech parachutes, and is based in the home town of Kermit's business office and manufacturing operations, DeLand Florida, - notably, it is the one, which started the event about 7 years ago. In the city, you can also discover one of the best skydiving facilities within the country, Skydive DeLand.
Warrior Weekend aims to give more than 40 injured veterans a great experience between the 17th and 20th of April, so that they know they have our sincere gratitude for their sacrifice. Upon getting off their private motor coach, the veterans will be welcomed with a gift basket from Kermit's Key West Key Lime Shoppe, and from then on, their special treatment will last 3 whole days until they finally depart.
Great food, and naturally Kermit's Key Lime Pie will welcome the veterans to a barbecue event on Thursday. Special Forces currently in active duty will be glad to make a tandem jump with the veterans on Friday morning, at the so-called Skydive Boogie. DeLand's mayor and officials will be glad to welcome the Warriors at another barbecue event, which will also be open the the public. There is nothing like observing the reactions of warriors, as they reach the ground welcomed by the crowd's cheering.
Friday evening is packed with excitement as well, when the Rotary Club of Downtown DeLand and Mainstreet DeLand Association host the Downtown DeLand Block Party. There is an abundance of things prepared just to show our appreciation for the great Warriors, and these things include yet another marvelous barbecue, specially backed up by Kermit's barbecue sauces and seasonings, and many other great things to entertain the guests of honor.
On Saturday, a little too early to be reasonable after the enjoyment in Friday, the Wounded Warrior Golf Tournament at Pelican Bay Country Club in Daytona Beach comes. You can easily say that the tournament will be all the more interesting, thanks to many diversions like Kermit's Pie Bar bites, kermit's sauces on various ribs and shrimp, the appearance of Hooters girls, and much more! Despite the seriousness of the many players, who will attend, the tournament does not aim to be serious in any way.
