Humor forms an integral part of social interactions. It can be created verbally through interpersonal communication or in written form through humorous life interest blog. Drafting a funny story requires both skill and creativity. As a writer, you should know your targeted audience. Many writers underestimate the importance of humorous articles. In real sense, the main objective of these articles is to develop creative writing skills.

Establish a word pattern by pairing two similar ideas with a third incongruent idea. This is a flexible technique of integrating humor on your short stories. This technique can also be used to craft catchy opening phrases of articles. Use words that your readers relate to. As a writer, be updated on current affairs and use this information to craft funny stories. Most people enjoy reading articles that satirize current affairs.

Use comparison humor when writing as a way of creating metaphor. When metaphors are used to create humor in articles, this grabs the attention of readers. For instance, if your article is supposed to convey information on how riding a plane is difficult, think of actions that are difficult to conduct. Choose a unique comparison that makes you laugh. In nonfiction writing, as a writer, you are your first audience.

Comedy relies majorly on misdirection and the best way of achieving it is by using word phrases your readers know. In addition, attach these word phrases with unpredicted words to amuse and grab their attention. Do not limit your writing skills to old idioms. Expand your writing skills by creating unpredictable jokes. Irrespective of the age groups of your audience, this technique appeals diverse readers.

Most comedies are based on exaggerated real life and true stories. In fact, psychologists say that people laugh more to real life occurrences than at fiction jokes. Use these stories to illustrate your content when writing. However, avoid using tales that criticize the racial, religious and gender disparities amongst people. Your language should be as censored as possible to reach readers of different age groups.

Be strategic when structuring your funny stories. Do not scatter your jokes all over the article. However, integrate them in sidebars, titles, cartoons, anecdotes or visual illustrations. Use humor sparingly when writing. Unless you are writing a deep funny topic, you need to limit the use of humor. Your article should portray you as a nonfiction writer rather than a comedian.

Your articles should have a central focus. When using humor, do not distract the content from the original purpose of an article. After writing, share your article with a colleague to review and give a candid opinion about its word structure. Alternatively, you can utilize online grammatical tools to remove any grammar errors in the article.

As a writer, you are entitled to the freedom of expression using words. However, avoid misappropriating this freedom by using sarcasm and hurtful jokes. Ask the readers to comment on the article and use their feedback to improve your creative and nonfiction writing skills. Do not be offended by negative comments. This is because people are entitled to their own opinions.
