Whether competing in a dance or performing a musical, stage makeup is very important. The perception that audience have of you will be influenced by how properly you have used your Stage Makeup Kits for Schools. Well done make up will bring life to your performance and draws their attention to you. If not well done, it will make you look dull.

Prior to applying makeup, you should make sure that your skin is free from dirt then apply the toner so as to achieve a uniformity. The toner should not have any alcohol because it will make your skin dry. On top of that, alcohol doubles the rate at which the lights will dry up your skin.

The foundation should be slightly darker than your skin color. To do this, you are supposed to start its application from your forehead as you move upwards towards your hairline. Then apply foundation to the entire face. If some conspicuous parts will not be covered by your performance costume, make sure you apply it to these areas so that you do not have a mask effect.

After successfully applying the foundation, you should then embark on the blush or rouge. One thing that performers should pay attention to is to smile while working on the blush. For a girl, a rosy blush will complement their skin tone well. But if it is a lad choose a color that is a bit paler.

When accenting your eyes, apply the eye shadow first. Use a shade that is light neutral on brow bone so that you highlight it. After doing this, find a shade that is darker for the eyelids. Whilst still on this, ensure that they blend at the point where the two shades meet. Pick a brown or dark shade to line the top of the eyelid to give you a more dramatic look.

Lip lining should then follow your school make up regimen. Choose a lip liner whose color is more or less the same as the color of you lipstick. This is an important step because it prevents your lipstick from bleeding into your face when you sweat. You should then apply the lip color. You must consult the director on the color of your attire so that you know which color to apply on the lip.

Afterwards, set your make up using a translucent powder. You should use a brush to do this. After dipping the brush into a translucent powder, tap the brush on a towel so that you will be able to remove excess powder. Using a powder will prevent your makeup from getting ruined if you happen to sweat while performing.

After you get done with your make up, you should take a look at yourself. From your reflection in the mirror, your makeup should appear slightly exaggerated because as you perform, the stage lights will be able to lighten up the dark shade. You should know that each individual in the audience will be viewing from different perspective and therefore you have to ensure that your make up communicates your expressions on stage.
