There are individuals who wrongly think that Islamic attire is nothing but a piece of cloth that suppresses women as well as men. Being a Muslim, your garments are affected by your religious and traditional values however there are different other factors that could impact your decision in this respects. In terms of availability, there is such a great amount of assortment with respect to modest Islamic clothing.

The whole criteria is to wear anything that appears to be decent and modest. It should not reveal your body figure and must not be too tight. At the same time the studies suggest that very loosely fitted garment that drops on the floor is also not advisable. The modest clothing rule applies on both women as well as men.

You may add your own personal style to your provided but keep in mind the criteria of modesty, otherwise there is nothing wrong in being conscious about your personal appearance. Your culture and tradition also influence your dressing style to a great extent and they should not be ignored.

For instance, Muslims living in Middle East prefer wearing Arab dresses and both men and women wear long loose attires. Women usually wear abayas or jilbabs and mostly it is black in color. Whereas men prefer to wear long white maxi known as 'thawb'. If you go further into Asian Muslim countries you will find that their way of dressing is completely different from Middle East but it is modest in its own way.

In Asian nation like Pakistan which is an exceptionally populated Muslim nation, their conventional dress is 'shalwar kameez' for both men and ladies. Kameez is an approximately fitted shirt and shalwar is an inexactly fitted gasp. Ladies wear a huge scarf alongside their clothing keeping in mind the end goal to cover themselves. Albeit a few ladies wear abayas yet it is not that normal in Pakistan.

There is good amount of Muslim population living in the western world as well and they wear western dresses but in a modest way. Women would wear loose shirts along with loose pants and a scarf. Men are also expected to wear garments that don't fit them too tightly and at the same time they should look decent in appearance nothing too shabby.

It doesn't really matter where you live, the key is to wear anything that is non-revealing and decent in appearance. You are bound to wear clothes that do not reveal anything because otherwise you will be going against your religious values. It is quite possible to look smart and attractive even if you are wearing something loose. It depends on your personal preference that how you carry yourself in such clothes.
