The tree has always been one of the most majestic entities that can be found in the world. Many people are at awe at the sight of trees because of their beauty and their splendor. However, only few people would think outside of the aesthetic properties of this entity and go deep into the symbolic meaning of trees. For those who are interested, here are a few possible symbolisms.

In many cultures, it has always been a symbol for strength that is able to endure hardships no matter where it is placed. The meaning behind that is because of the strength that the tree has in its roots and in its trunk. Because of its rooted foundation that it has, it is able to sustain almost all types of weather conditions and still stand firm.

If one would take a look at Celtic culture, the tree actually represents wisdom and intellect. They believe that wisdom comes with age and the tree is able to live to up a hundred years old or more which makes it wise. Now if one would notice while watching fantasy movies, the talking tree is often a character that embodies a lot of wisdom and intellect that would guide the hero.

If one would read the Bible, he will notice this entity also has its own symbolism. Now according to the book of Genesis, which tells the story of how the world was created and how humankind was created, there were two majors trees there. These are the tree of knowledge and the tree of life.

Now if one would take a look at the metaphorical meaning behind these two entities, one would see that they actually symbolize birth of new ideas or new things. Now these two entities produced fruits that would be able to influence the ideas of how mankind thought. In a sense, the fruit represents the idea that was created while the tree would represent the one who created the idea.

In many cultures, the tree is believed to symbolize equality and centrality. This entity has no gender nor does it have any side. It just stays there, flourishes, and gives its fruit to the people. It is for this reason that many cultures believe this entity to be the epitome of balance because it possesses an equal amount of each converse trait.

Now this entity may also symbolize motherhood because it gives birth to fruit that would nourish the people. It is the provider, protector, and the home for all living beings in the planet. Because of the original caring nature of this entity, many people would associate it with being a mother as that is what mothers would do.

Lastly, the tree is the ultimate representation of nature and all things that are natural. Trees are known to be the center of all nature and is one of the first entities to have said to come out during the creation of the world according to many cultures. It is because of this that people would use it as a representation of nature itself.
