If you are any brand of artist or have performed, you have presumably heard of Apple's Gargeband. It is computer software that allows you to readily, mix, master and post produce pieces of a melody without needing any actual musical proficiency or aptitude. One of the finest things about the app is that it is a great platform for composing and sharing music. All you need is the time and appetite to learn the software - no higher degrees required.

If you mix your own loops, or even easier, use pre recorded GarageBand loops you can try out, mix, re-record and master a dazzling variety of sounds, beats and effects. All it takes to produce pro quality music is a computer.

Using loops in this manner you can make up tunes by adding to and building on your current content, if you would like to understand the rudimentary progression, here are some straightforward steps to get started"

Set up the application on your machine. You can download a free version or if you want to concoct some more complex tunes, you can purchase the complete version of the software, either on-line or at scores of retail stores

Once it is installed on your computer, open the application and click on the tab on the bottom right hand side (it looks like an eyeball). Clicking this allows you to select 'Loop View"

Now you should notice a scroll bar that lets you scroll through all of the loops on hand until you find one that you like. (You can import your private loops and append them to this list)

Click on the loop and drag your pointer to the top right hand corner, you can extend the loop by simply dragging it.

Everybody can learn and master GarageBand loops. Relish the creative muscle of the software by adding assorted special effects and experimenting with all the various ways to modulate your loop. One final point, make sure to save your session on a regular basis and have fun.
