there is no denial of the fact that charm of a nice romantic film is par excellence. Romantic flicks are known to bring a smile on everyone's face. There are some romantic flicks for which you can go gaga. Let's have a look at some of the evergreen romantic movies that remains in control of the charts even today.

You talk of romantic flicks and 'roman holidays' is the necessary name. You cannot stand to lose out on this. This motion picture is one of the most glamorous flicks ever made. The engaging locations of Rome are definitely going to stimulate the romantic side of yours. The plot of the story is about 2 characters- a pauper and a princess and their journey of love. The characters are well played by actors Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn. The film has a very doleful ending which touches the hearts of the viewers and therefore hits a chord somewhere.

From Rome, move on to Russia. Anastasia is based on a Russian folk tale. Make sure that you don't confuse it with the 1997 twentieth Century Fox animated movie of the same name. This one stars Xmas Breyner though both are based on the same base idea of locating Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna of Russia. The movie is known for some of the best performances ever by both the leads and is still considered among the best ever to come out of Hollywood.

'Ghost' is another story of love that makes to the list of best romantic movies. Unlike other love stories that are between real folk, this movie narrates the tale of love between a wife and her dead husband. With actors like Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze bringing alive the romance on screen, this movie is a must watch. The film also stars Whoopi Goldberg, who even won an Oscar for the same.

Another in line ever romantic films is 'Titanic'. No matter how frequently you watch the flick, it just does not fail to make you interested. A straightforward story shot in difficult sets makes Titanic a heart warming story of love. The perfect cherry on the glaze is the tune sung by Celine Dion, which still continues to be in the center of numerous lovers.

World War two has been a great subject for filmmakers but not many have used it as a background of a romance. Consider Pearl Bay as one excellent exception. The film brings out how love can actually survive and thrive, even in the greatest of tragedy. The star cast includes Kate Bekinsale and Ben Afflek.

Aside from these, you will consider A Walk to Remember, Notting Hill and The Lake House. Any of these romantic movies can be enjoyed curled up in the couch with popcorn in lap and your loved one by your side.
